Community Engagement and Equity

Ensure inclusive community involvement in decision-making processes, focusing on addressing disparities and fostering fair access to resources and opportunities.

Holler to Hilltop Revival Corp is committed to advancing development by placing community voice at the heart of every initiative. Through its Community Engagement services, the organization will foster meaningful participation, build local leadership, and ensure historically marginalized populations have a seat at the table.

  • Participatory Planning and Outreach: Facilitate community visioning sessions, listening tours, surveys, and public forums to ensure local residents, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, shape the direction of neighborhood revitalization efforts.

  • Cultural Preservation and Storytelling: Promote the recognition and celebration of Appalachian heritage, artisan traditions, and local histories through public art, oral history projects, and culturally relevant programming.

  • Leadership Development and Civic Empowerment: Offer training programs and mentorship opportunities that empower youth, residents, and emerging community leaders to engage in civic processes, serve on boards, and advocate for equitable policy.

  • Equitable Access to Services and Opportunities: Ensure that all programs—including workforce training, business development, housing assistance, and educational resources—are inclusive and accessible to individuals regardless of race, age, gender identity, disability, or economic status.

  • Coalition Building and Cross-Sector Collaboration: Partner with grassroots organizations, faith groups, and public agencies to advance collective impact efforts and create stronger social safety nets for underserved populations.

  • Conflict Resolution and Dialogue Facilitation: Provide space and trained facilitators for open, respectful dialogue on community challenges—such as race, class, and economic disparities—with a goal of building trust and shared vision.
